Quiet weekends...

Are mostly spent relaxing, catching up with chores, watching movies, eating cake. Having a lie in this morning was heavenly as Matilda had a sleepover at her Godmother's last night as the husband and I were off to see the Modfather Paul Weller. He was great though the highlights of the evening were his old Style Council favourites and the surprise appearance of Ronnie Wood! A standing ovation for him ensued, even if you're not a fan of the music you've got to give this guy his due for longevity if nothing else!

Despite the weather's best efforts, we managed a quick trip to our local Parsons Green Farmers Market this morning to buy scrummy vegetables for our beef stew tonight. The intention was to come home cook the sausages we'd just bought then go for a walk on Wimbledon, however the thunder storm would put paid to that. So we snuggled under the sofa and watched Rex Harrison's Doctor Doolittle instead. We needed this quiet time to recharge whilst also assimilating last week's events, just the three of us.
