A Welly Walk in the sun

Having children really encourages you to appreciate the change in seasons, their pure curiosity as to what each season brings is refreshing and revitalising.

I joined Matilda's class this afternoon on their annual welly walk around the village spotting all the encouraging signs of Spring. Wrapped up in warm coats, woolly hats, scarves and the all important wellies, the children and a number of parents set off exploring. We spotted daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses, blossom, primroses and even a little lady bird. With the promise of warmer weather by the weekend this reawakening of mother nature is set to explode over the coming weeks, the buds will bloom and the burst of colour will surround us. So why not take a moment on the school run or on your way to work to stop and consider our changing environment?
