Snowdrops are synonymous with the oncoming of Spring, together with crocus' they lead the way for other bulbs to brighten up our landscape after the bleak Winter months. Amazingly there are 2500 named varieties, who knew?!
Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire's Snowdrop Festival draws large crowds each year who all flock here to view the magnificent sight of the grounds blanketed in these pretty white flowers. We spent a couple of hours yesterday taking in this little miracle of nature...they have 60 varieties for sale in their beautiful shop if you fancy a small reminder of this wondrous walk.
